SOUTH

Due South follows the adventures (or misadventures) of a Mountie in downtown Chicago.
In the words of Constable Benton Fraser, RCMP:

"I first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of my father.  For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I have chosen to remain as liaison with the Canadian Consulate."

The series was called a 'fish out of water' story because Fraser was more at home in the Yukon tundra than on the asphalt streets of a major metropolis.
Due South was a hit in Canada and Europe, but sadly it was lost to the majority of the American public when it could not be neatly labeled as a comedy or a drama. (It is in fact, a bit of both.)
But, we did get to see it in syndication.

Unfortunately, the show is no longer on the air (at least in the US).
But we can hope that it does come back in the future.

You might want to check out the following sites:

The Official Due South web site
This page covers almost every aspect of the show including biographies of the characters and actors, a complete episode guide, pictures, and even merchandise.

The Paul Gross & David Keeley site
This site has great information on the singing careers of Paul Gross (aka Benton Fraser) and his real life friend and fellow actor David Keeley.  It has samples of each track of their debut album Two Houses and video clips.
