"I first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of my father. For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I have chosen to remain as liaison with the Canadian Consulate."
The series
was called a 'fish out of water' story because Fraser was more at home
in the Yukon tundra than on the asphalt streets of a major metropolis.
Due South
was a hit in Canada and Europe, but sadly it was lost to the majority of
the American public when it could not be neatly labeled as a comedy or
a drama. (It is in fact, a bit of both.)
But, we did
get to see it in syndication.
Unfortunately, the show is no longer on the air
(at least in the US).
But we can hope that it does come back in the
future.
